Week 3 9/10-9/14Day 1.
1-Observe Root Beer. -Select your best bottle and pour a sample in a Dixie cup. Number with your lab group number. Put on my desk. -Collect data and observations -Type Lab report: one per group. Use Help Writing a Lab Report doucment for guidelines. Lab RUBRIC found HERE -DUE at end of class as of now -Print one copy to turn in for your lab group. -Turn into to be graded folder Timeleft? Binder Rules:

Micropippette SKILLS QUIZ:
1. Tour teacher will ask you to deliver a particular amount using the micropipette 2. You will be asked to a. Convert from liters to milliliters to microliters. b. Identify micropipette parts and their purposes. c. Choose and set the correct micropipette for the job. d. Properly use the micropipette. Accuracy will be checked using an electric balance. e. Properly use a microfuge.

Week 6: 10/1-10/5-end of 6 weeksDay 11. Complete above EXCEL assignments. print and turn in ALL THREE together to "to be graded" folder.
2. Find a data set you would like to analyze using the excel tools from the previous exercise. You may use any data set to show any skill (making graphs, statistical analysis). Ideas: sports stats, nutrition stats, stock market stats, testing stats, college stats. You may use anything you want as long as they are from a good source. Day 21. TEST: Micropipetting and EXCEL
2. For the excel portion of your lab, you will use the data collected from last class to create a an excel product and turn in as 50% of your test grade. |
